Weight loss Wednesday


 
  Last Wednesday Emmanuel brought me his old Xbox and a Let's dance mat. After a few tries I realize I am not that great of a dancer, and although I was a percussionist in High school...I have no rhythm coordination. I also noticed that after 20 minutes of dancing, I was sweating my butt off. That's when it hit me, I should use this game for my weight loss Wednesday. Apart from the walking everyday and managing what I eat, this game will help me get in that Cardio work I am lacking in my life. Not only is it tons of fun but I am learning "how to dance". Plus, this is better then the Zumba workout (Zumba is my enemy, the last time I tried it I ended up with a semi-concussion.)

Current weight: 140lbs
Waist: N/a yet
Hips: N/a yet

I am also going to start taking weekly pictures but I am going to save those till I reach my goal weight.
20-30 lbs by 3/30/2012 (my 24th birthday)

  1. Im a terrible dancer, but I do a lot of dance workout videos simply because they are great for cardio and really get your heart rate going! I hope this works out well for you!

    I'm like you though...no rhythm coordination WHAT SO EVER! lol

  3. Do you mean that you want to lose 20-30 lbs? Or did you mean to write that your goal weight was 120-130 lbs?

    I've never used the dance games on xbox, but they look pretty fun. I've played DDR once or twice years ago. I was so bad at it, lol. But I'm a really good dancer. I can only imagine the workout you get from them! I've also always wanted to try zumba (how did you manage a mini concussion?! Oh no!) Good luck with your goal weight.

  9. I have seen this game in the halls of slot machines. I've never been assiduous to play video games so I have no equipment to do ...
    But I have a friend who by his two sons bought the wii and tell me that she uses yoga and sweating a lot: S I think I should buy one of the two lol

  10. Oh jeez. Me and my friend in highschool played this game and it whooped our butts - it really is a work out! My little brother is an absolute master at it but I could never keep up.

  13. I've been meaning to try one of these dance games because I love to dance and I think it would be a good workout. I tried the Dance Dance Revolution at some kids party or something a few years ago, it was fun except I definitely wasn't dressed for such a game haha. I wasn't a big fan of Zumba either, I'm sorry to hear about the semi-concussion, how did that happen? I picture myself falling working out in my living room to have the cats climb on top of me and blissfully fall asleep.

  15. Haha i think this is the best way to lose weight, and i wish u all the luck! I have no self dicipline which is why my diet plan is always EPIC fail lol

    and as for the dancing game, i did try out once in an arcade, and i was horrible at it lol silly me

  19. Awww I love the title of your blog! Cute kitty. But I am SO terrible at DDR haha. It's great you're trying to add more cardio and be more active. I'm actually a personal trainer and strength coach so I always like to hear people who are getting into working out. :3
