Breakfast & Thrift shopping

Earlier today, Manny and his family invited me out to breakfast. We headed to La mesa in San Diego to a place called Lake Murray. The food was amazing. Afterwards, we headed to their house & while everybody was relaxing inside, Nathan & I spent some time riding his bike. It is amazing how he learned to ride the bike in less than 3 days! I rode the bike like a champ. Now I want a Black cruiser bike (hehe) Then after a few spins around their parking lot, we got ready to go to a GoodWill. I love thrift shopping! There I found a few dresses (Love, Love, Love!!!) and a few skirts. It was a real good find. Oh, and Manny also bought me the cutest pair of sunglasses. Here are some pictures from our fabulous day:

Labour day Weekend

Last weekend we spent it at the hospital with Manny's mom. She wasn't feeling good so we thought best to take her in. Since I didn't have school I gladly volunteered to stay all day Friday with her while Manny and Perla went to work. I had fun taking care of her. The highlight of my day was when we both laughed at the hospital food she had to eat. 

We spent all of Friday and all of Saturday with her. I might not had our weekly Friday night date but it made me happy to be able to be of some service to Manny's family. Gladly by Sunday she was released and by the looks of how she was acting, she felt much, much better. 

On Monday, Perla invited me to get a Pedicure. I got myself a lilac color. Then we went out to a mexican supermarket and we ate tacos with Horchata.

Afterwards, Manny took me home so he could finish studying for a quiz he had the next day. 

It was a lovely Labour day Weekend. 

Perla's Birthday weekend

Last Friday was Manny's sister's Birthday. 

So we had a two day family celebration on Friday and Saturday.

Friday:

I went to Manny's house for dinner. We spent the night sitting in the living room eating grapes, cheese, strawberries. Ice cream Birthday cake! and Having a good time looking at old pictures and enjoying every bodies company. 

Saturday:

We all went out for breakfast at Hob nob Hill in downtown. 

The food was amazing!

 I had a spinach, cream cheese & avocado omelette. I died. 

After spending a couple of hours talking and drinking coffee we realized it was probably time to go since the waitress no longer was bringing out hot coffee. But we were having so much fun gossiping that we decided to head over to Balboa park. Plus Nathan was so restless and he could use some fresh air away from all the adult talk.

While at the park,  I was so hot out that even under the shade of the tree I was sweating like a pig! Manny bought us a Rainbow Snow cone. It hit the spot. 

After our trip to the park we went out to buy Perla her birthday gifts. Since she was going out that night and needed something hot to wear we went to a place called Toda moda (All Fashion). It was certainly a fun day.

Doggy beach

Last saturday we packed our towels, put on some sunscreen and we went to a doggy beach. There we sat on the sand while every kind of dog, you can imagine, ran around smelling butt after butt. Of course we took our own dog Bonbon, but se was way to shy and stayed glued under Emmanuel's beach chair.

 I had a seeing the different kinds of dogs at the beach. There were fetching dogs, dogs who loved to swim, dogs who would come up to our towel and lay down next to you and begged for a belly rub. We also encounter humongous dogs who looked like dinosaurs! All very playful. All very friendly.

 During our time at the doggy beach Nathan, Emmanuel's nephew, went in the water. He played, made friends, and fell a couple of times. I would of joined him If only I would of bought a summer bathing suit. Guess I have to get to that soon :/

   Well Anyways, If you are a dog person you should definitely try out the doggy beach around your area, and even if you don't have a dog you Will always have a great time.
