My new favorite Drink, Venti sized Passion tea, yum!
Lately I feel that all my posts contain the Starbucks pictures. But what can I say! I been spending so much time working full time and going to school. Seriously, today is my first day off since last Friday, that is four 8 hour work days!
I am exhausted.
For those of you who have been asking, I am loving my job! Now that the first week is over, my training is over and I am now a certified Barista. Yay! All I need now is to practice my cup coding and remembering all the coffee recipes. And yes, this is as hard as it sounds but practice makes perfect and I already feel more confident with every work day. The only bad thing is that I feel so mentally exhausted by the time I clock out. Hopefully this diminishes with time because I really, really, really enjoy going to work.
Another little highlight of my week is that I am finally learning how to drive. Yes, I am almost 24 and I am barely learning how to drive. I am learning to overcome my driving paranoia. So I am taking the wheel and, hopefully, by the end of the year I will be a licensed driver. Imagine, I will be able to drive myself to The mall!
Hope your week was a good one, anything exciting happened?

That tea looks yummy. I haven't been to Starbuck's in way too long. I am glad working is going well, you will catch on to all the recipes soon I am sure. I always wanted to work at a coffee shop.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on learning to drive! I didn't get my license until I was 17 - only a year of putting it off, but still. It is so liberating being able to drive, I really enjoy it now :] Good luck!
That drink looks yummy! Have you had the passion tea lemonade? Even better than plain passion tea!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness why don't you already drive?? That's just so odd to me, I started driving ASAP! Then again, paying for gas isn't worth it. Spend $120 to fill up your tank once and you'll never want to drive again... (Never get an SUV...)

Congrats on the job girl! It sounds so hard to be a barista! I have no idea how you can work full time and manage to go to school. I started school this January and I'm afraid I'm going to have to drop all my classes. Math is KILLING ME! Seriously! It's so depressing! Anyway, Learning to drive is going to be awesome! You are going to love it!
ReplyDeleteit seems like working at there and being busy would make the day go by quickly? my sister used to work there and would tell me all about her crazy customers, tell us your stories too!

ReplyDeleteOh no, Don't give up! I am trying to adjust going to work then school but everyday seems easier. Being a Barista is hard but I am getting the hang of it. I bet it is like that for everybody because I see my co workers and they are like robots! Amazing :) Btw, I hope I love driving too. I am already looking for a potential car for me !!!

ReplyDeleteI tasted the PT lemonade today and I agree, it is DELICIOUS!
Before I started working here I would hardly ever stop at a Starbucks too! I like their coffee but we have to be careful they are full of Calories! That is the only thing I dread from working here full time :)
